Barcelona thinks Marc Giu ‘lost’ to Chelsea

The Catalan giants wanted to offer Guillot a new contract but their offer paled in comparison to the one he received from Chelsea.

Chelsea are now closing in on the young attacker and are expected to seal a deal for him.

According to Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona now believe Guillou is “lost” and believe he has “already decided” to go to Chelsea.

They believe Guillou’s few weeks in the first team prompted him to want more money than he would have at his age.

Guiu has a €6 million release clause, which Chelsea will trigger to bring the young striker to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues believe the young Spaniard is an opportunity too good to pass up and are moving forward.

Giu made three appearances for Barcelona in La Liga last season, and the club also provided him with two Champions League appearances.

The striker scored in the defeat to Royal Antwerp in Belgium.
