HITC revealed on Saturday that Wolves had rejected an offer from West Ham United for Kilman as West Ham’s bid of nearly £30m was nowhere near their valuation of the captain.

Sources have told HITC that Wolves are looking to pay close to £50m to let the 27-year-old leave. Kilman signed a new long-term deal last summer after they rejected a £30m offer from Italian giants Napoli.

Newcastle’s bid for Max Kilman rejected by Wolves

HITC revealed that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle are also keeping a close eye on Kilman, and now Eddie Howe’s Magpies have made a competing bid.

Newcastle’s offer was close to West Ham’s original offer but was for cash and an unnamed player, who Wolves sources confirmed was young midfielder Elliot Anderson.

However, Wolves have rejected Newcastle’s offer, although they are considering an improved offer.

Newcastle also inquire about Pedro Neto at Wolves

HITC can also confirm that Newcastle have also inquired about Pedro Neto, a player who Wolves have long been interested in, during talks over Kilman.

Newcastle are also in talks to sign Everton’s Daniel Calvert-Lewin as they look to land a wide attacker this summer and they took the opportunity to find out how the 24-year-old Portugal international is doing.

Like Kilman, Wolves insist they don’t need to sell anyone and if they do they will demand their valuation be fully met, with Molineux sources insisting £60m would be needed to bring in a move. Neto, who enjoyed one of his best seasons of the season.
