Real Madrid are yet to confirm a replacement for Nacho Fernandez but they have given the green light for Rafael Marin to leave the club. The 22-year-old is set to complete a move to Napoli in the coming days.

Matteo Moreto has revealed to Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing that Real Madrid have in fact approved a move to Napoli and that the deal is only “a matter of time”. The two clubs are still hammering out the final details of the buy-back terms and the player’s agent is still sorting out his image rights agreement with Napoli, but what else needs to be sorted out. Both Marin and Real Madrid agreed to the move.

Previous reports put the deal at around €15 million, with a buy-back clause of around double that figure, but that could rise over time. Marin has enjoyed a good season on loan at Alaves this year and is considered a candidate to succeed the outgoing Nacho Fernandez. However, Lenny Yoro appears to be prioritizing a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and it looks like he will become their fourth centre-back.
